LEAP
LEAP was founded in 2009 by Hermanos Unidos and the Latin American Student Association at UCLA to provide a mentoring program for students at Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School. Now, we provide our tutoring and mentoring program to Bethune Middle School and 75th Street Elementary School in South Central, CA. Our focus is to motivate and empower students to attend higher education, think critically and to become leaders of their community.

This past week students were able to make their own paper planes with LEAP and measure the distanced it traveled to practice their scientific reporting skills. 🐸✈️📝
