Due to the extreme heat forecasted for the inland areas of the Southern California region, we have postponed 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 to Saturday, March 21.
We will meet at 9:30am at the Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area (34.113278, -117.955820) and begin walking at 10:00am.
The walk will include four different stops, where writers 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹 𝗚 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻, 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗲, and 𝗬𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶 will read from their own work as well as from texts related to the exhibition’s themes, including the Iranian diaspora, the erosion of landscape, and the connection between distant places through technology.

JOAN is hiring a Getty Marrow Curatorial Intern for Summer 2026!
The Summer Intern will work closely with JOAN’s team full-time for 10 weeks (June–August 2026) through the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program.
The intern will assist with the research, conceptualization, and production of a newly commissioned solo exhibition opening in Fall 2026, while gaining hands-on experience and actively contributing to exhibition and project development, as well as public programming within a small nonprofit arts organization.
Applications are due April 10, 2026. Interviews will take place during the week of April 20, and final decisions will be announced by April 30.
