My name is Lorena (pronouns She/Her/Ella) founder of Maíz y Yoga. I am a Chicana Movement Curadora, passionate about healing the wounds within through movement, breath & vocal sound so we can heal the next 7 generations and beyond.

Join our monthly New Moon Circle 🌑 for Dance from the Heart, a guided moving meditation where gently invite ourselves to anchor and reconnect with our bodies through movement and envisioning.

Together, we move with and through the elements of nature to support ourselves and each other in nurturing our intuition and imagination.
This is a monthly space to further root in the care rituals we practice for ourselves and our communities while seeding visions for our collective futures.

ABOUT DANCE FROM THE HEART
In each class, we move through 7-energies inspired by the elements of nature to envision, ground, connect, release, replenish, embody, and affirm our visions for our life and world.
In co-creating our Dance from the Heart spaces, participants describe experiencing a range of impacts, including:
🌿 Increased (re)connection to ancestral healing practices
💆🏽 Decreased stress and anxiety
🌱 Increased feelings of grounding, anchoring, and presence
🤝🏽 Increased connection to self, community, and belonging
Accessibility Details:
🧘🏽♀️ No dance experience required! Participation can be from seated, standing, or reclined positions. There is no choreography, just improvised and intuitive movement and stillness.

💬 This series will take place via Zoom with automated captions.
