During my time in the hotel here, I’ve been binging a few hours of “The Big Bang Theory” each night. Besides being one of my favorite shows, we had the honor of the Big Bang folks being fans of our G4tv channel, and “Attack of the Show” (see the AotS poster on the Comic Book Store set); and in October 2010, my G4 buddy, Bryan Metzler, and I got the VIP treatment for the filming of “The Apology Insufficiency” (guests Eliza Dushku, Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson), thanks to friend John O’Brien, who won multiple Primetime Emmy Awards as part of the show’s amazing camera engineering team. We got to see the G4tv magnets on the kitchen set, and yes, we got to sit on Sheldon’s spot on the couch.
It’s fun to look back, is such a great show, and cool to relive what was probably the height of Geek Chic, or Nerd Culture.
