I heard that we are revisiting 2016.
I had a store on Pico in LA from 2010-2022. The plants didn’t come until 2020. Before that it was very much niche fashion. It was a VIBE and a time was had.

1. Me in front of shop sipping champagne celebrating one of our many fabulous events. I would make something up AT LEAST once a month to drive business and get the rent paid. I believe this one was called the “Pretty Party” 🎉

3. I was hand painting Bamboo Earrings and they were very popular. Later a well known stylist did something VERY SIMILAR and sold them at Macy’s.

4. I went and got a real Christmas Tree, cut it into pieces and reassembled it into a dress for our Mannequin Joan. It was EPIC. The wig was also made by me with a pack of $3 braid hair and a sheer ribbon around her face. I hope I have a picture of the full dress somewhere. It came out really spectacular 🌲

5. My oldest son Isaiah was 3 I was still a new Mommy and Max hadn’t been born yet. Bouq, my heart ❤️

6. We had a really great swimwear run 👙

7. Sunglasses were one of our strongest categories. I tried to scale it with a subscription model but it didn’t work. Looking back I can see how I was dead set on this idea and a different approach may have worked better.
