On View: #HowardenaPindell ‘Deep Sea, Deep Space’ at #WhiteCube #HongKong (until 8 January 2025) The cut-and-sewn canvases featured in this exhibition embody the fascination with physical science that motivates much of Pindell’s recent work. ‘Untitled #31 (The Solar System Is Beige)’ (2024), for example, playfully reinvents the cosmic order as gridded and monochrome, while ‘City Lights…Night Flight’ (2024) is freer in form, the stitching looser and zigzagged, suggesting charts of the star-studded sky.
