Did you know that kindness is teachable?
Research suggests that kindness and compassion are skills that can be developed. As Helen Weng of the University of Wisconsin-Madison explains, “People can actually build up their compassion ‘muscle’ and respond to others’ suffering with care and a desire to help.”
That’s why we believe every act of kindness matters. The more we practice kindness, the stronger it becomes, and the greater impact we can have on the world around us.

Okay, this one is a little ironic, but hear us out!
Your phone (and mind) deserve a break. Taking even 15–30 minutes away from your screen each day can help reduce stress, improve focus, and create more space for real connection. Whether it’s doing another activity or simply being present in the moment, unplugging is a powerful form of self-care.
So do it right now! Disconnect! (after you like this post, of course)
Remember when more than 700 students and faculty came together to take the Kindness Pledge with Scott Ehlers at the National Academic Decathlon? Us too!
Seeing so many young leaders commit to kindness and education reminded us that the future of the youth is bright. Thank you so much for having us, United States Academic Decathlon - USAD!

Congratulations to our friend Robert Peterpaul and the entire Art of Kindness podcast team on reaching 200 episodes! What an immense milestone!
Kindness is Free is honored to sponsor this season of our favorite show and to support conversations that uplift and inspire. And we’d be remiss if we didn't celebrate the incredibly talented special guest Elizabeth Gillies.
Thank you, Robert and AOK, for continuing to create a platform that leads with empathy, positivity, and connection. Listen to the full episode here: https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcasts/the-art-of-kindness-with-robert-peterpaul

Sometimes the best listener is a blank page 📓
Taking a few minutes each day to journal can help clear your mind and create space for reflection and gratitude. Whether you write about your goals, your feelings, or one positive moment from your day, journaling is a simple way to check in with yourself and support your mental well-being ✍️💫

You know what they say! An apple a day... 🍎
Fueling your body with healthy foods is one of the simplest ways to care for both your physical and mental well-being. Small choices like drinking more water, eating colorful fruits and vegetables, and choosing balanced meals can help you in big ways. Remember: you are what you eat!
