INGREDIENTS:
¼ cup unsalted butter
10 oz marshmallows
4 cups rice krispies
Optional: ube flavoring
Optional: goji berries
6-10 tang yuan (see day 2 for tang yuan recipe)
STEPS:
1. Cook your tang yuan and set aside.
2. Melt butter in a pot over low heat.
3. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and smooth.
4. Optional: Add a few drops of ube flavoring for purple color and subtle ube flavor. Stir until color is uniform.
5. Stir in rice krispies until well coated. Optional: stir in a few bright red goji berries.
6. Grease pan and add a thin layer of mixture to the bottom. Place tang yuan evenly apart and add in the rest of the mixture. Press mixture evenly and firmly – you can form a taller block to allow tang yuan more space.
7. Let cool. Cut into squares and enjoy!
*PRO TIP: tang yuan made with Crunchy Black Sesame Butter is so rich and nutty! But you can swap for any of their flavored nut butters, too.
