All the flavor of a classic cheesesteak — sizzling beef, caramelized onions and peppers, and melty provolone — without the bread coma.
Ingredients:
• 1 lb ribeye or sirloin, very thinly sliced
• 2 Tbsp butter
• ½ large yellow onion, thinly sliced
• ½ green bell pepper, thinly sliced
• ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
• 1 tsp paprika
• Salt & black pepper
• 4 oz provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
Optional: olive oil drizzle + chopped parsley
How to make it:
1️⃣ Melt 1 Tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and peppers 6–8 min until soft and lightly caramelized. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Raise heat to medium-high. Add remaining butter and sear steak 1–2 min per side until browned. Season with paprika, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
3️⃣ Return veggies to the skillet and toss together.
4️⃣ Spread into an even layer and top with provolone. Cover and reduce heat to low for 2–3 min until cheese is melted and bubbly.
5️⃣ Finish with olive oil or parsley if desired.
