We're starting to hear questions/concerns about the impact of the COVID-19 virus commonly referred to as the "coronavirus". We thought it wise to post what we all can do to stay safe, what we ALWAYS do for clients' safety, and what we ask our clients to do for their/our safety.

What we all can do to stay safe:
1. Practice proper hand hygiene helps us at any time!! (Centers for Disease Control (CDC) hand washing guidelines here: https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/index.html).
2. If you or those you care for are not feeling well, please call your physician and they will guide you as to what to do next (schedule an appointment to come in, go to the ER, etc.).
3. Social media is pretty much never a dependable source for factually accurate information. Get information directly from fact-based, scientifically accurate sources like the CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html?fbclid=IwAR37f1gxl1DIeWLqB33iPUvWzs0WWYOdNiQ8k7Z0FYHZZMXNtJvI8b9h9BE)

What we ALWAYS do for client safety:
1. We WILL NOT massage while we are feeling ill! If we are not feeling well, we aim to reach out the day before to advise of this and to reschedule your appointment.
2. We practice proper hand hygiene per CDC guidelines for healthcare settings (https://www.cdc.gov/handhygiene/index.html)
3. We provide foaming hand sanitizer in the treatment room for client/therapist use.
4. For each client visit, we wash past the elbows before and after each session.
5. Post-session, we remove sheets/blankets from the massage table/face cradle cover. We then use hospital-grade disinfectant to sanitize all surfaces of the massage table, face cradle, bolster(s), client chair, rolling stool, creme dispenser, and anything else touched during the session.
6. We then wash hands again before making up the massage table/face cradle for the next session.
7. Finally, we wash/sanitize hands prior to your arrival so we greet you with clean hands.

We ask clients to do one thing for your/our safety: if you are not feeling well, please choose to remain home and seek care for yourself. Let us know by phone, text, or email and that you are ill and unable to attend your appointment. We will happily reschedule you after you are feeling better without any cancellation charge.
