Erin Nailed it with this incredible insight and information. AI is a great tool but does not and never will replace a therapist! I tell clients all the time to be cautious when using AI . AI will tell you what you want to hear and be agreeable sometimes this can keep you “Stuck” and not promote growth.
If you or someone you know is using chat GPT as their therapist maybe it’s time to see a human 😆

Know someone who might have ADHD ?? Send them my way !! I’m currently accepting new clients!!
I have completed the training to become an ADHD-CCSP ( required to be fully licensed) before I can receive the certification.
Being an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) means I’ve completed advanced training focused specifically on understanding and supporting individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder across the lifespan.
ADHD is so much more than “being distracted.” It can impact:
• executive functioning
• emotional regulation
• motivation
• relationships
• parenting
• burnout
• self-esteem
• daily functioning
Many people , especially women, parents, and high achieving adults go years feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like they’re “just bad at life,” when in reality their brain simply processes and regulates differently.
As an ADHD-CCSP, I use ADHD-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approaches to help clients better understand themselves, reduce shame, build practical coping strategies, and create systems that actually work for their lives.
Life is hard enough, let’s work together to help achieve your goals !

If you grew up feeling like your needs were too much, apologizing for having them probably became automatic.
"I'm sorry I got so emotional." "I'm sorry I need so much reassurance." "I'm sorry for being a burden." Most people don't even realize they're doing it. It just feels like the polite thing to say.
But apologizing for your needs teaches the people around you that those needs are a problem. Gratitude does something completely different. It acknowledges what someone gave you instead of shaming yourself for needing it.
"Thank you for holding space for me" lands in a completely different place than "sorry I got so emotional." Same moment. Totally different message.

When someone snaps, shuts down, lies, stonewalls, gets controlling, or goes cold, it can be tempting to label them as “just toxic” and stop there. And to be clear.... harmful behavior isn’t okay. Accountability is necessary. Impact matters. Repair matters. Boundaries matter.
But if the emotional need underneath the behavior stays unmet, the behavior usually keeps showing up, or the unmet need leaks out in another form.
A grounded way to hold both truth and accountability looks like this:
1. Name the behavior + impact: “I raised my voice. That felt scary and disrespectful.”
2. Own it and repair: “That’s on me. I’m sorry. I want to do this differently.”
3. Find the need and ask for it directly: “Underneath, I was scared I didn’t matter. Can we slow down and help me feel like you’re with me?”

Happy 2026 everyone!!! Let’s start off the new year on a positive note. Often times clients come to me asking for help with “bad” habits . We examine what that means and looks like then go from there . Often times it’s a mindset shift that is needed as well as support. Therapy is a great place to start off the new year . Don’t let yourself be your own worse enemy.
I will be going on maternity leave soon but reach out if you know someone that would like to be added to my waitlist!!!!

5 Things Your Therapist Wants You to Know
🧡 1. You’re not “too much.”
Your emotions, your story, and your pace are welcome here. You don’t have to be put together to show up.
🧡 2. You don’t need the perfect words.
Therapy isn’t a performance. Forgetting what to say, rambling, or sitting in silence is all okay.
🧡 3. Crying in session is normal.
Tears aren’t a weakness… they’re a release. This is a safe place for all emotions.
🧡 4. We’re not judging you.
Your coping skills were ways you survived. Your struggles don’t make you dramatic.. they make you human.
🧡 5. You don’t have to wait for a crisis.
You deserve support at any stage. You’re allowed to ask for help before everything falls apart.

🌧 When Little Hearts Feel Heavy 💛
Sometimes kids can’t find the words to explain their sadness… it might show up as tears, tummy aches, or quiet moments when they used to laugh.
At Strong as Stone Counseling Services, our child therapists create a safe, playful space where kids can express big feelings in little ways, through art, stories, and play. 💬✨
Together, we help children build coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and rediscover joy one small step (and smile) at a time.
🪨 Because even the smallest stones can carry strength.

With many changes in our local area here in East Texas coming in the next few weeks . Just wanted to share these resources with those who need them . Remember to be kind and focus on what YOU CAN DO and CONTROL. It’s easy to panic and fall into the Negativity Trap. When our basic needs aren’t met then we cannot focus on our mental health. Let’s strive to get to a place where we can and take care of ourselves.
