The new ring is finished and ready for delivery. 22kt coin of Alexander the Great set in a Sterling shank with a hammered finish.

I just got thru casting this coin for a customer's coin ring. It's 22kt. I think it turned out incedible, if I do say so myself.

We took an original coin of alexander, 3d scanned it into my computer, lifted out just the head part, enlarged it to the size of a miracle whip jar lid and recarved it. I took the enlarged coin and restored & deepened the detail, then re-scanned it into the computer and added the true round & beading using blender. Then milled the new coin over 8 hours in wax, then cast it. This is how it looks with only being cleaned of investment. I'm going to suggest we use it as is, no polishing or buffing. The lion's head shows so well.

Sorry, I got a little carried away, I know most of you don't care about the process, just the result.
