This Fall 2026, three students in Microcomputer Design turned that idea into reality. After months of hard work, with some students investing over 100 hours into the project, they successfully designed and built their own computers from the ground up.

To wrap up the semester, the students presented their final products to the Digital Electronics class, showcasing not only their technical knowledge, but also their dedication, problem-solving skills, and perseverance.

This is an incredible accomplishment, and we can’t wait to see what these future engineers achieve in their professional careers!

On April 22, students witnessed the conservation of angular momentum in action as a steel ball collided with a rotating platform. By capturing the collision in real time and graphing the resulting data, they were able to connect core physics principles with hands-on experimentation.
Experiences like this show how learning at LeTourneau goes beyond the classroom—giving students the opportunity to explore concepts through discovery, application, and real-world problem solving.

On April 30, LeTourneau University hosted the Student Showcase, featuring an impressive range of student projects, research, and presentations from across campus.
The event opened with senior design teams presenting their final projects, including a maskless lithography machine, rehabilitation device, competition robot, and more. Students then shared diverse research work spanning topics such as caffeine consumption, educational anxiety, and pelvic-tilt measurement systems. The showcase concluded with presentations from students in nursing, kinesiology, mathematics, engineering, and Riveted magazine, highlighting excellence across multiple disciplines.
The Student Showcase reflected the creativity, dedication, and growing impact of LeTourneau students—demonstrating strong preparation for future leadership in engineering, science, healthcare, and beyond.
