What were they thinking 🤔? A completely cut joist!

Recently found aluminum wiring in a home. Although some electricians may say it can be made safe, I recommend replacement with modern copper wiring.

What were they thinking! Unsafe!

Recently found polybutylene piping in a home. Polybutylene piping manufacturing was discontinued mid-1996 due to the high rate of failures/leaks. It is likely polybutylene is present in other areas of the home. No regulations require the replacement of polybutylene piping with other materials. In addition, the home appears to be at least 30 plus years old with no evidence of concerns.

Options:
1. Monitor.
2. Have a licensed plumber evaluate.
3. Replace the piping with approved piping such as PEX.

Here is a positive post. Nice blue furnace flame which indicates efficient combustion of the natural gas.

Recently these concerns were found in homes by WC Home Inspection. Garage door rails attached to drywall instead of the wood jamb which is bad on so many levels. The second picture is an electrical mess that was hidden by manufactured home skirting. That mess is truly a safety hazard! If you're buying a home do not waive your right to a home inspection.
