🎶 “I’m gonna love you forever and ever…” 🎶

And we think Elroy deserves a home that will do exactly that. 🩵

After spending years as a guest ranch horse at C Lazy U Ranch , Elroy is now enjoying a well deserved retirement at Colorado Horse Rescue. We are so grateful to C Lazy U Ranch for partnering with us through The Annie Project and helping provide horses like Elroy with a safe path into their next chapter.

These days, Elroy spends his time soaking up sunny naps, enjoying turnout with his gelding herd, and frolicking with his horse friends on brisk mornings. His kind and easygoing personality make him a wonderful companion horse for another horse looking for a buddy.

Could you be the perfect match for Elroy? Fill out a Horse Match Profile today at chr.org! 💙

As our final featured horse for ASPCA Adopt a Horse Month, we want to give a huge thank you to the ASPCA for creating this campaign and helping shine a light on adoptable horses like Elroy who are ready for loving homes of their own.🐴

Some horses don’t need words to tell you they feel safe. You can see it in the way they choose to stay close. 🤍

Meet Happy, a 20-year-old one-eyed Thoroughbred who is now retired from riding and stepping into his next chapter. After a lifetime of work, he is ready for something quieter: a safe pasture, a steady routine, a trusted companion, and a forever home where he can just be a horse.

During liberty work with his trainer Marie, he remains attentive and engaged, following her movement through the arena with focus and willingness. He is goofy, sensitive, and deeply social, forming strong bonds with both people and his herd mates.

Having one eye means he can be a little more cautious with space and movement. He just needs someone patient, consistent, and kind enough to meet him where he is.

Do you think you could be that person for him? If so, visit chr.org and fill out a Horse Match Profile today! 💙
