Will you help TRI Members step into the week with a little more stability and a lot more dignity?
👕A clean T-shirt. A pack of socks. New undergarments.
These are simple things, but are essential when someone is trying to start a job, meet with their care team, or show up for family with confidence. Reentry asks people to carry a lot. You can help lighten that load with necessities that are ready to use right away.
Right now, the items most needed are:
• Plain colored T-shirts
• Undergarments for adults
• Packs of ankle and crew socks
• Amazon gift cards
👉 If you’d like to help, you can shop our Amazon Wish List (link in comments).
At our office, we provide a small ‘shop’ with home essentials for our members as they transition to a life of self-sufficiency. Your donations will be added there.
You can also support the TRI Shop with thoughtful clothing donations. If you donate, please make sure items are gently used, cleaned or pressed, and packed in a box. (We are accepting practical everyday clothing only, so please do not include dresses or fancy clothing).
💙 Your donations will help someone feel prepared. You'll remind them that their dignity matters and that this community is walking alongside them.

For LGBTQ+ individuals impacted by incarceration, reentry can carry added layers of fear and uncertainty. Finding safe housing, affirming healthcare, steady employment, and a community where you are respected can be harder when stigma follows you in more than one form.
At The Reentry Initiative, we believe reentry support must be trauma-responsive, affirming, and rooted in dignity. That means creating spaces where people can show up fully as themselves and receive care with respect, safety, and belonging.
This Pride Month, we want to shine a light on a key partner in this work: Rocky Mountain Equality Rocky Mountain Equality. Through advocacy, programming, education, and supportive services, they help LGBTQ+ people and families across Colorado access connection, safety, and life-affirming support. Their work reflects what strong communities can make possible when compassion and equity lead the way.
For LGBTQ+ people navigating reentry, organizations like Rocky Mountain Equality are part of the broader ecosystem of care that helps people heal, rebuild, and belong. Learn more about their work with the link in the comments below.
This Pride Month, we stand with our LGBTQ+ members navigating reentry, healing, recovery, and rebuilding.
May you be met with safety, respect, and the kind of support that reminds you: you are worthy, you are welcome, and your future matters.
If this message resonates with you, share it with someone who believes reentry should include dignity for everyone.
For men navigating reentry, success begins with a space to breathe.
This Men’s Health Month, we’re grateful to share this moment from our Zen Den, where TRI Board Vice Chair, Josh Forman, leads a men’s meditation class.
Josh brings his own meditation practice into this space with care and intention. For men navigating reentry, grounding practices like meditation can support healing, reduce stress, and create room to reconnect with themselves.
This men’s meditation class is a drop-in offering every third Thursday in the Zen Den.
No prior experience is needed. If you'd like more information, contact us: link in the comments below.
You deserve support that helps you feel grounded, steady, and connected.

Coming home after incarceration brings both challenges and new chances for connection. For many, reuniting with family is a powerful step forward. At TRI, we focus on restoring bonds and supporting each other in building brighter futures.
This International Day of Families, we celebrate Anita, a social worker whose compassion is woven into every family she serves. Anita specializes in supporting parents, especially mothers facing the pain of separation from their children, through some of the toughest chapters of their lives. With 1:1 parenting classes, supervised visit support, and fierce, unwavering advocacy, she walks alongside families as they navigate court requirements, rebuild trust, and work toward reunification.
For mothers working to meet court requirements or fighting to regain custody, Anita is a steady source of hope and support, gently encouraging them to trust their strength, believe in second chances, and hold on to the truth that they are more than the challenges they face.
