Jeanne Socrates arrives in Victoria, now oldest person to sail around world unassisted Jeanne Socrates arrived in Victoria Saturday afternoon, setting a world record. The 77-year-old is now the oldest person to navigate around the globe completely unassisted. The feat took her over 320 days — she left back in October 2018. A flotilla was organized to greet her Saturday morning.
