Shared Science was granted nonprofit status in 2009, for the purpose of creating and delivering early engineering and science learning opportunities to school-aged children (K-12) in the City of Long Beach. Booth Spotlight 🦈✨ The Shark Shack allows students to examine preserved shark specimens and to make connections between physical adaptations and the demands of survival in their environment. We also discuss stingrays, beach safety and the technology we use to tag and track sharks. We bring examples of these tags and go through key aspects of each and how they are chosen to help answer a scientific question.
