rk a job, I decided to completely switch gears and pursue the Automotive field. I had grown up really liking cars and fixing things. I though this would be great for me. While I was attending a manufactures training program, I was offered a job as a Graphic Designer and Curriculum Editor. I thought that I had finally made it. I thought this was my big break and I was finally going to start making some "real" money. See, I worked for a contracting company that would basically "rent me out" to the manufacturing company. This meant two managers to answer to. One from the contracting company and one from the manufacture. The first two years I was under one company and then the manufacturer switched contracting companies and a bunch of us were transferred over to the new contracting company. I loved my job for the first two years. As a contracted employee you don't get paid as much as employees that work directly for the company. There is a bidding process for the contract for your job and because the lowest wins, you are usually getting the lowest pay about of all the deals. For the first two years I struggled with my pay and getting an ample rate for my work, but it became even worse when we switched contracting companies.
