**🖤✊🏾 BLACK FUTURE MONTH — DAY 15 🏙️**
**Legacy. Unity. Love.**

Today we honor **Rex Richardson**—the **first African American Mayor of Long Beach**, whose leadership marks a historic and forward-moving chapter for the city.

Elected in **2022**, Mayor Richardson’s journey reflects the power of representation, civic engagement, and community trust. Rising through public service—from educator and nonprofit leader to City Councilmember and now Mayor—his path shows how leadership grounded in community can shape inclusive progress.

🏙️ A city led with intention
🤝 Collaboration over division
🌱 A future rooted in equity, opportunity, and shared responsibility

Rex Richardson’s leadership reminds us that milestones are not endpoints—they are invitations to do more, together.

His words capture the spirit of this moment:
🗣️ *“A future built by all of us.”*

As we continue **Black Future Month**, Mayor Richardson’s story highlights what it looks like when legacy meets the present—and creates space for the next generation to lead.

At our **2nd Annual Legacy, Unity & Love: Black Future Celebration**, we uplift leaders like Rex Richardson because Black futures are strongest when leadership reflects the people it serves and the community shapes the vision.

The future is local.
The future is collective.
The future is built—together.

**Legacy. Unity. Love.**
