Today we commemorate the Crucifixion and Death of Jesus.

We remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Do We Know What Jesus Preached on Holy Tuesday?

In Jerusalem, Jesus preached about faith. He used the barren fig tree as an example. His disciples saw what he did to the fig tree and marveled. In Matthew 21:21-22, Jesus said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be throw removed, and be throw cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing, you shall receive.”

This day also commemorates Jesus’ teaching and preaching at the Mount of Olives, including the Olivet Discourse, a prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the age. Additionally, Judas Iscariot agreed to betray Jesus with the Sanhedrin on this day.

Jesus cleanses the Temple

Holy Monday is the second day of Holy Week, right after Palm Sunday. It is the second day that Jesus was in Jerusalem.

Jesus entered the temple courts and overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches. He stated that the temple should be a house of prayer. 🕊️ 🪙
