The truth is, a real recomp and fat loss takes time. It’s not going to happen in 4 weeks, which is probably the amount of time you could keep up the above regimen before your body gives you the middle finger.
So how do you train to build muscle and lose fat AND not burn yourself out in the process?
You train less, but more intelligently.
Volume drives muscle growth but all volume is not created equal. The quality of your volume matters as well.

Introducing Balance Classes at Intensity Park Meadows!
"Balance" was designed by Dr. Meredith Bremner, Doctor of Physical Therapy, with the intention of programming functional movement training along with injury prevention and rehab exercises. In this class you will work all of your systems and muscle groups including your back and core, large and small muscle groups, and even high level balance and coordination. The Balance class is as challenging as you want to make it with high intensity training but movements that can be scaled for any level of athlete or if you are dealing with a limitation or injury. The instructor is trained to work with the unique considerations for youth athletes, pregnant/postpartum athletes, post operative rehab phase, older adult athletes, and active recovery movement days.
Dr. Meredith has been instructing for three years in multiple gym settings. Through this time she has helped many athletes train through challenging injuries and circumstances and still reach their health goals. These classes will be scheduled at Intensity Park Meadows at 7:30 AM Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1:30 PM Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Balance classes are offered for all Intensity members at no additional cost. “Balance Only” memberships are available for 12 times/mo at $147/mo. Class sizes may vary based on times and goals. For those of you trying to host classes on Zoom:
As many of you know, I own a CrossFit box in Lone Tree. Like every other fitness professional in the community, I have been seriously impacted by Covid-19. We experimented with online classes using just Zoom, but it quickly became clear that communicating class schedules, configuring Zoom settings, and retaining some control over the member experience was challenging to say the least.
I contacted my business partner in Silicon Valley and asked for his help. We took some time and put together a simple app for the gym. The app was so well received at our gym that we are now offering 7 classes daily M-F.
With all that, we figured that other gyms might be interested as well so we wrapped it into an app. We're at about 2 dozen gyms right now.
For now, it's free while we're working out the kinks, but we'll move to a pay model as we're including a Zoom pro account in the membership and that costs us.

It's for gyms, personal trainers, yoga teachers, pilates instructor, dance schools, etc.
