Fanari Camp

Tuesday is a day devoted to our faith and learning about it! Our campers' flex activities included Koliva Kitchen, Clergy Car Wash, and Cross Fitness. They learned that God wants a loving relationship with us and the impact that relationship can have on our lives in Orthodox Life. Later in the evening, campers were blessed with the opportunity to venerate the relics of St. Nikiforos the L***r, the Fathers of St. Sava Monastery, and the Holy Cross. We also had a fun new activity called Saint Survivor where campers learned even more about the Saints. Our Athenians were our second spirit stick winners and we headed off to bed to get rest for another fun filled day!

Campers had the best time celebrating the Greek culture throughout the day. Our day started with an Agiasmo service to kick off the summer. Our first round of FLEX activities, all Greek themed of course, were a hit with our campers. They went through their rotations, learning in Bible Study and Orthodox Life, playing World Cup in Athletics, and creating cabin flags for the Olympics. We ended the day with some Greek dancing and closing time where we sang a camp song and found out the DELPHIANS won the first spirit stick of the summer. Tomorrow is going to be another phenomenal day!

WELCOME BACK FANARI CAMPERS! We kicked off our summer with an absolutely beautiful day! Campers arrived fresh faced and excited, and our staff greeted them with just as much (if not more) enthusiasm. Our day was pretty chill, we got to know one another, eat some ice cream, learn about the rules of Fanari with an amazing lyric game, and settled in for the first of many fun filled evenings. We also showcased our amazing t-shirt design, created by one of our talented campers: Demi and honored the memory of our dearly missed Father John Ketchum. We can't wait for what the rest of the summer will bring!

Week 1 Counselor
Matina is a student at Marquette University studying Nursing. After her many years as a camper she is so excited to return to Fanari camp this summer as a counselor! Matina enjoys going to the beach, shopping, and spending time with friends. She cannot wait to meet the new campers and make lasting memories with them!

Week 1 Counselor
Maria is a nursing student who enjoys spending her time working, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends. After growing up as a Fanari camper, she is excited to return this summer as a counselor. Maria can’t wait to meet new people, dress up for themed nights, and help create lasting memories for her campers. She hopes to be a positive role model by helping campers grow in their faith in a fun and encouraging environment while building friendships that will last beyond camp.
