At last night’s Lockport Police Workforce Development Program meeting, three cadets were formally recognized for their outstanding dedication, performance, and commitment to the program.

Cadets Aquilina, Furan, and Olay were honored for their exceptional results on the most recent civil service examination, as well as for demonstrating strong leadership qualities throughout their participation.

Following the recognition ceremony, the cadets completed a Stop the Bleed training course instructed by Firefighter Cruz of the Lockport Fire Department.

The Lockport Police Workforce Development Program was established to provide individuals interested in a career in law enforcement with meaningful experience in preparing for both the written police examination and the physical fitness test. Participants also receive hands-on exposure to the profession and are offered volunteer opportunities that allow them to actively serve the community.

Those interested in joining the program are encouraged to contact Officer Bermudez via email at [email protected] or by text message at (716) 449-4454.
