Late last fall I surmised that I needed to set myself up with something new to work towards in life. My mental health was very dismal. At the very last minute possible I jumped into the ring for consideration at the School of the Art Institute, and spent the winter and spring applying to 30+ scholarships.

This September I began my BFA with my bills entirely paid off by scholarships and aid. I am not abandoning cake, food will always be my core, but I need the time to focus on expanding. I will be taking limited cake orders with focus on wedding and sculpted cakes. Cookie cakes will come back as time allows. (see www.batty-cakes.com for details!)
