The great coffees of Africa now have a Detroit address. Our Kenya single origin opens on blackcurrant, lifts with grapefruit, and finishes on brown sugar. Light to medium roast, roasted small and to order on Industrial Road in Livonia.
Behind the cup: a husband and wife, and two ancient coffee cultures from Yemen and Somalia meeting in a single cup.

This one means a lot to us. 🤎
At First Light Roasters, we believe in showing up for the people who show up for our community. We had the honor of visiting the Livonia Police Department to share our coffee and say a simple thank you to the men and women who serve and protect every single day.
As a small thank you, we’re extending 20% off all future orders to our service members. It’s the least we can do for those who give so much.
Thank you for everything you do. ☕

Live from Cundinamarca. 🇨🇴
This is where it begins, long before the cup. Parchment coffee resting on raised beds, drying slow under the Colombian highland sun.
Every bean turned by hand. Every batch watched daily. This is the patience specialty coffee is built on.
From the farm to your morning ritual. ☕

Bad coffee at any price is expensive coffee. Honduras Geisha: jasmine, stone fruit, honey.

Grocery coffee prices hit all-time highs in April, but here's the thing everyone's missing: bad coffee at any price is expensive coffee.

This morning I'm starting slow with our Honduras Geisha. Jasmine, stone fruit, honey. Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

Grocery coffee prices hit all-time highs in April, but here's the thing everyone's missing: bad coffee at any price is expensive coffee.

This morning I'm starting slow with our Honduras Geisha. Jasmine, stone fruit, honey. The kind of precision that makes paying $4 for burnt supermarket beans feel like the real robbery.

The ritual matters. The slow pour. The first sip at exactly the right temperature. The way good coffee changes how the whole day unfolds.

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.
