Robert has been crushing it in therapy! Not long ago, he required more physical assistance while walking. Today, he’s taking on a new challenge: navigating over noodles & sticks using a cane while safely supported in the Solo-Step.

Obstacle negotiation is a key part of prosthetic gait training after an above-knee amputation. Helping prepare for unexpected challenges in everyday environments!

Stepping over obstacles challenges:

The Solo-Step doesn’t do the work for Robert. It simply provides a safe environment to practice bigger challenges with less fear of falling, allowing him to focus on improving his walking & building confidence.

One step closer. 👏❤️

Since August, Paul has been working through an unknown diagnosis that affected his strength, balance & ability to walk independently.

Today, he’s celebrating a huge milestone!

After training in the Solo-Step harness, Paul is now walking outside of the harness using only two PVC pipes held by his therapist for light support

With continued improvements in proprioception & endurance, he’s getting closer & closer to walking without any assistive device!

His goal is to return to normal mobility, reduce pain & regain his independence. We’d say he’s well on his way!
