We had a fun Saturday out with the ladies! Lunch at In-n-Out, pool trip with Tri-Valley Seek and Save, and finished with a visit to Meadowlark Dairy! It was a beautiful change of pace for these ladies.

Let's dismantle the stigma around "staying" and highlight the complexity of abuse.
"Why doesn't she just leave?'
This is the wrong question.
The right question is:
"Why is the abuser making it unsafe for her to go?"

Leaving is statistically the most dangerous time for a victim. Fear, financial control, and lack of housing often trap women in unsafe homes. At Shepherd's Gate, we remove those barriers.
