Our name and purpose were inspired by a phrase in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep people from finding Him. With these weapons, I can capture imaginations and rebels and bring them back to God and change them into adults whose hearts’ imaginative desire is obedience to Christ." In the old King James Bible, the word "imagination" was used in place of thought. In the Living Bible, the term is applied to rebels or actual people. Either way, we at Capture Books love applying the power of the gentle and sympathetic Christ persistently presented by written word and image to fight the spiritual battle in others' lives, bringing them to submit to Christ, even those who are rebels. Christ Himself as our Creator, has our highest self-actualization in mind for us! Imagine that.
