ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN UNINCORPORATED JEFFERSON COUNTY

Fireworks are not allowed during Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. That includes “legal” fireworks.

Sheriff Reggie Marinelli’s order applies to all areas of unincorporated Jefferson County. If you live inside a city or town, check with your municipality for local laws and ordinances.

Colorado remains in a fragile fire environment, and wildland firefighting resources are stretched thin.

Do not risk it. Leave fireworks to authorized professionals.

Professional fireworks shows may still be allowed during Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, but only if they are fully permitted and authorized. Local governments can cancel those shows at any time, so check official local websites for the latest information.

To report illegal fireworks, please do not call 911 unless there is an injury, fire, or immediate threat to life or property.

Please only report fireworks if you have an exact address where they are being set off.

Penalties can range from a petty offense to a felony depending on the time, place, manner, and outcome. If fireworks start a fire or injure someone, the consequences can get serious fast.

On the afternoon of 6\28 the Sampson Schoolhouse had several unknown, disrespectful guests roaming in and out of the schoolhouse and parking lot. They arrived on multiple ATV's. If you have any information regarding this unscheduled visit, please let us know. Also some reminders: 1) lock the door behind you, when using the schoolhouse. 2) it is very easy and convenient to rent the schoolhouse for your event, but does require prior permission. 3) please do not share the lock box code with guests\friends.
We do have several photos of the individuals from the camera, but thought we would reach out before sharing.
