Fat Loss and Athletic Performance

Definitely one of the most common (and difficult) topics athletes hire me to help them with is losing body fat. While losing body fat is absolutely realistic, it must be done correctly to avoid a decrease in performance.

Many athletes simply approach losing body fat too aggressively via large calorie deficits, excessive aerobic exercise and reduced carbohydrate intake. While all of these may lead to weight loss, they will likely come at the expense of athletic performance.

The Benefits of Green Tea Extract

I’m sure you have heard of the potential benefits of green tea but do you know how many systems in the body green tea can really have a positive impact on? Probably more than you think.

Don’t worry if you don’t drink green tea. I’m not trying to get you to start (unless you want to) because, well, you can reap the benefits of green tea by simply using its extract.

Green tea extract, derived from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, is a concentrated source of bioactive compounds that have been widely studied for their impact on health, performance and longevity. Its primary active ingredients (catechins, particularly EGCG) are responsible for many of its physiological benefits.
