We’re doing our annual recoding project on September 27 & October 29. Recording is one of my favorite tools to use for teaching vocal technique. Students hear everything, sometimes it’s very eye opening. I know from first hand experience, but it’s the best way for them to be able to step back & analyze their tone, pitch, phrasing & so much more. Then they get to sit & watch what goes into the recording process on the engineer’s side of things. It’s wonderful to record their progress and beautiful voices! I can’t wait!

I’m interested in starting an after school enrichment music/choir/voice classes for elementary & middle schools who currently don’t have music programs. If anyone has ideas or has done it I would love any insights you might want to share. Thank you!

Last night I was so inspired and encouraged after seeing Bobby McFerrin and his Gimme5 vocal group! I was reminded that there is nothing more powerful and moving than a collective of human voices! It literally moves the soul. I’m so grateful that I was able to see this concert! I found my voice again. A voice that isn’t about the beauty of the voice but the beauty & imperfection of the soul. The release of sound that’s been caged in fear is profound and healing. The journey continues. I’m grateful!
It’s so cool, that I feel called to teach again.

We are offering voice but also guitar, songwriting, music theory and bass lessons. If we have enough interest we will offer ensembles as well.
