The University Science Scholars Program is a scholarship and enrichment program for UALR undergraduate students majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, or mathematics. These scholars are members of a learning community where they take STEM courses together, enroll in a specialized first-year experience course, live together in on-campus housing, and attend workshops, seminars, and field trips. Last week, four of our USSP and LSAMP students participated in "Posters at the Capitol," an annual event designed to increase awareness of the high-level of STEM research being performed on Arkansas universities. There is an article about the event on UALR’s homepage:
