The Arkansas Insurance Department’s Funeral Services Division was proud to host a Spring Symposium on April 8th, bringing together licensed funeral professionals from across the state to earn continuing education hours and engage in meaningful discussions.

We were also honored to welcome students from Arkansas State University Mountain Home and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana who are pursuing degrees in funeral services.

The three-hour event featured a presentation from a guest lecturer, followed by a panel discussion with young licensed funeral professionals representing all four corners of Arkansas. Events like this help strengthen our professional community through education, collaboration, and shared experiences.

We’re proud to have our Public Employees Claims Manager, Nathan Culp, representing the Arkansas Insurance Department at the Arkansas Self Insurers Association Conference in Hot Springs this week!
Nathan is serving on the panel, “Bridging the Gap: Engaging Injured Workers in their Recovery Journey,” sharing insights on supporting injured workers and improving outcomes through collaboration and communication.
