We are thrilled to be designing the space for the new George's Italian Restaurant in the Heights. The restaurant blends into the fabric of the neighborhood with an homage to the original house’s Tudor design of the stucco and exposed wood structure and trim details. Guests will be greeted under a large tree canopy, through the al fresco dining area and into the new natural light filled Entry Foyer with wood paneled walls and soaring wood paneled ceilings. The “Porch Dining” on the front of the restaurant provides guests a unique dining experience with a street view of Kavanaugh, as they dine under a vaulted wood ceiling and glass wrapped walls with ample natural light. For patrons wanting a more casual entertaining evening, the restaurant will offer a more discreet experience of a Speakeasy Bar, hidden in the back of the restaurant, with an entrance through a hidden door. The hidden Bar will be highlighted with a dark stained wooden bar, beautiful wall coverings adorned with artwork, and Italian marble mosaic tile on the floor. This project is designed by Rodney Parham Nikki Crane and Laura Lyon.
