Over Thanksgiving, I was offered an unforgettable opportunity—to help decorate the White House for Christmas, including the Oval Office tree. 🇺🇸✨
Truly one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ve always had a desire to serve my country but never felt a desire to do so in the military so grateful to serve with the talents I have!!
After three full days of decorating, I had the joy of taking my family on a White House tour—seeing those halls and decorations through their eyes made the experience even more meaningful. ❤️
One of the moments I will never forget was standing in the Oval Office after we finished decorating… taking a quiet moment to pray with other volunteers, hand in hand and plead the blood of Jesus over our nation and over President Trump and over his office! A holy, humbling pause in the middle of a historic task.
It also reminded me of one of my favorite principles of etiquette:
“Where you are is never about prestige—it’s about stewardship.” When we are given opportunities what will we do with them?
White House protocol teaches us to:
• Carry ourselves with humility
• Respect the space and those who serve within it
• Offer gratitude generously
• Represent our communities with grace and honor
A beautiful experience, and an even greater reminder:
Courtesy goes before opportunity.
