Woohoo! Ms. McSweeney is a FULL TIME FALCON!

I joined the LRSD team September 2025. I truly enjoy teaching and discovering new ways each student learns best. My experience in teaching students with various abilities across multiple settings, enables me to understand my students’ unique needs and connect with them as individual learners.

I’ve worked as a special education teacher in Central Arkansas since 1998. Currently, I hold a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education, also from UALR in Deaf Education and Elementary Education. Additionally, I’m licensed in the state of Arkansas as a Special Education Instructional Specialist and a Special Education Hearing Specialist for grades PK-4 and 4-12, as well as an Elementary Educator for grades 1-6.

I enjoy spending time with family, being a part of my church family, this beautiful state, and learning new things!

I’m looking forward to being a full-time Falcon!
