We at Crist are pleased to announce that our Northwest Arkansas Office Leader, Josh Moore, P.E., has been appointed by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.

As Crist’s Northwest Arkansas Office Leader, Josh has built his 29 year career on leadership, technical excellence, and a commitment to serving communities across Arkansas. Through his work in engineering and client partnerships, he has helped deliver practical infrastructure solutions that improve the lives of the people we serve.

In this new role, Josh will join fellow board members in supporting the licensure of engineers and surveyors across the state, helping uphold the standards that protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

We’re proud to see Josh recognized for his dedication to the profession and know he will serve Arkansas well in this important role. Congratulations, Josh!

A group of our engineers traveled to in Washington DC this week to collaborate with clients, vendors, and manufacturers to learn about new trends in the water industry to enable us to provide superior engineering services to our clients!

Congratulations to Quintin Winters on earning his Class IV Wastewater Operator License!

We’re excited to have this talented group on the team and look forward to a summer of learning, growth, and real-world experience. This year’s class brings a strong mix of civil, chemical, and mechanical engineering backgrounds, represented by Luke Brechtel, Samuel Cline, Cayden Christian, and Will Johnson, and hailing from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rogers Heritage High School, Oral Roberts University, and Ouachita Baptist University.

We’re proud to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see what they accomplish this summer!

The Fourche Creek Water Reclamation Facility for Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority recently commissioned the sludge feed pump system as part of improvements to thicken sludge. For this project the design team elected to decommission the existing piston pumps and replace with Double Disk Pumps. The Penn Valley 6-in. model is shown in the photo below with a piggyback drive motor arrangement to save space in the existing pump room. The double disk pumps offer a compact footprint and provide a seal-less design.
