The Arkansas State Library and Arkansas TV teamed up to celebrate America 250 by hosting Transcribe-a-Thons throughout the state. Transcribe-a-Thons connect volunteers to digital images of handwritten correspondence and documents of the Library of Congress and crowdsource the transcription of historical documents so that the stories of Americans and American history can be preserved and accessed by all. The events are coordinated through the Arkansas State Library's Center for the Book.
