Wunderpus is a raw, female-fronted four-piece rock band based out of Arkansas, led by powerhouse mezzo-soprano vocalist Amie Bishop. We ended up playing “Give Me One Reason” by Tracy Chapman just messing around, and it naturally drifted into a rock feel without us forcing it.
Once Blake got behind the drums, it really opened up and took on its own life. Nothing was planned about it — it just kind of happened in the room and we followed it.
We love how it turned out. It still feels like the song, just with our energy in it.
