On Friday evening, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, in Shawnee. Kansas, hosted a Holy Hour and Ground Breaking for their new adoration chapel and parish hall addition. The project will also include 15.000 sqft of interior renovation within the school and lower level of the church for additional classrooms, meeting rooms and offices.

Today we celebrate the mystery of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, present to us in every tabernacle throughout the world.
“Of all devotions,” St. Alphonsus Liguori says, “that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest of the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.”
St. Maximillian Kolbe says, “You come to me and unite Yourself intimately to me under the form of nourishment. Your Blood now runs in mine, Your Soul, Incarnate God, compenetrates mine, giving courage and support. What miracles! Who would have ever imagined such!”
Today, let us thank Jesus for the gift and miracle of His Eucharistic presence which humbles itself to come ever so close to us!
