IT'S OPENNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
Lincoln, NE βJune 12, 2024 β The Lancaster County Engineer is pleased to announce the opening of County Bridge X-129, located on Panama Road and East of S 54th Street, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., following the completion of a new bridge.
The previous bridge, a 27' x 62' concrete slab structure, was constructed in 1963 and gifted to Lancaster County by the Corps of Engineers when they built Stagecoach Dam. This bridge was closed in 2019 after the bomb cyclone.
The old bridge has now been replaced with a modern 120', 3-span, continuous concrete slab bridge. Designed by JEO Consulting Group and constructed by Midwest Infrastructure, the new bridge represents a significant upgrade at a cost of approximately $1,562,800.00.
