There's still time to submit your abstract to WAPOR's 19th Annual Conference! The abstract submission deadline has been extended to 31 May 2026.

Our programme is currently taking shape, bringing together a wide range of perspectives and research from across the global public opinion community.

The conference welcomes submissions in the following formats:
• Individual papers
• Pre-organized panels
• Posters

Submissions may be presented in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.

Acceptance decisions for submitted proposals will be communicated on 20 May 2026.

The conference will provide an international forum for discussion and exchange among scholars and practitioners in public opinion, survey research, and related fields in Mexico City.

The European Social Survey (ESS) is a comparative general social survey, research infrastructure, that has been collecting high quality data for the social science community since 2002. With cross-country comparability at the core of its mission, the survey used a single data collection mode, face-to-face, from its inception, to avoid introducing differential mode effects between countries.

This presentation will outline the reasons for the mode change, present the new self-completion method and early pre-testing, and showcase emerging findings from the Round 12 mode experiment. Submit your abstract before JUNE 6!

The conference will be held in the Ali Sadikin Building, Jakarta Public Library and HB Jassin Literary Archive Center, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The conference welcomes methodological, empirical, and theoretical contributions in public opinion research and survey methodology.
