🏠Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln
Founded locally in 1988, Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln partners with families and volunteers to build safe, affordable housing and create pathways to homeownership. Their vision is simple but powerful: *a world where everyone has a decent place to live.* Through home builds, repairs, and the ReStore, they help create stronger families and stronger communities.

Want to get involved? You can volunteer on a build site, donate materials to the ReStore, shop secondhand treasures, or support their mission financially. There are opportunities for every skill level and every schedule.

🦒 🐧Lincoln Children's Zoo
For more than 60 years, the Lincoln Children's Zoo has been inspiring curiosity and connection through hands-on experiences with animals and nature. Their mission, *"To Enrich Lives Through Living Things,"* continues to impact hundreds of thousands of visitors each year through education, conservation, and unforgettable experiences with more than 400 animals, including over 40 endangered species.

Looking for ways to help? The zoo offers volunteer opportunities for adults and teens, educational programs, memberships, special events, and donations that help support animal care, conservation, and future expansion efforts.

🐾 Central Nebraska Humane Society
The Central Nebraska Humane Society has worked to protect and care for homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals while promoting responsible pet ownership. They provide adoption services, education, and resources that help pets find loving homes. Consider adopting, fostering, volunteering, or making a donation to support animal care!

🥫 Food Bank of Lincoln
The Food Bank of Lincoln works to alleviate hunger throughout southeast Nebraska by distributing food through an extensive network of partner agencies and programs. Volunteers help sort and pack food, while donations and advocacy help ensure families, children, and seniors have access to nutritious meals.

🤝Lincoln TeamMates
Founded by legendary coach Tom Osborne and Nancy Osborne, TeamMates connects students with caring adult mentors who encourage, support, and inspire them to reach their full potential. One hour a week can make a lifelong difference in a young person's life. Community members can get involved by becoming mentors, donating, or helping spread awareness about the program.

🐶 Capital Humane Society
Capital Humane Society has served the Lincoln community for more than a century through animal adoption, sheltering, education, and veterinary services. Their vision is a community where every companion animal is treated with care and compassion. Consider adoption, volunteering, fostering, or financial contributions.

📚 Lincoln Literacy
Lincoln Literacy empowers adults through English language instruction, literacy education, citizenship preparation, and workforce development programs. Their work helps individuals build confidence, pursue opportunities, and become more connected members of our community. Volunteers, tutors, and donors all play a critical role in helping students succeed.
