“CAPTAIN’S LOG: ENTRY THREE”
The valley sleeps under a white shroud tonight,
and in the hush of this snowfall cathedral,
I spill another burden onto the page —
as if my name alone didn’t already rattle the rafters.
Suspicion left this temple ages ago.
Guilt packed its bags.
Fear never made it past the threshold.
Every letter I carve becomes a hinge,
every word a lock,
every sentence a door you must open slowly.
I’ve become the hidden comma —
the pause that forces comprehension,
the breath that bends the tone forward
and refuses to be reversed.
You speak.
You spell.
We were taught to inhale a curse
and call it normal.
If you doubt it,
read this aloud.
Feel the vibration.
Hear the echo.
Then —
when the room is still,
and the snow outside stops falling —
play the message in reverse.
And tell me what you hear.
