Electoral College comes to life at Bath Middle School 11/06/2024

My last story officially in the books. It's been fun, and I'll miss reporting dearly. Thank you to everyone I've ever interviewed, everyone who invited me to cover a story, and everyone who followed this page. And goodbye to a job where I could watch college football on two different TVs while I worked, meet extraordinary people, and tour museums on the clock. I could make the list of things I'll miss longer than the dictionary, but I'll keep it short.

Thank you and goodbye 👋

Around 11am today, a vehicle crashed after a high-speed pursuit from the Lima Police Department. The suspect was traveling on Lakewood Ave. but failed to navigate a curve and lost control, sending the vehicle downhill into the woods behind the ball diamonds at Faurot Park.

lThe driver fled the scene but was shortly captured and transported to the hospital for his injuries. The car was also on fire when the Lima Fire Department arrived, but luckily they were able to contain it before it spread.

We'll update with more details as we get them.

A different, bittersweet, kind of news for all of you- as of next week, I will no longer be a reporter at Your Hometown Stations. I've accepted a position with a nonprofit in Cleveland, and I'll be moving away next Friday.

To those of you who have supported my stories and read my work, thank you. I'll miss getting to travel all around the area I grew up, interviewing teachers at my old high school, filming sports, and all the interesting, kind people I've worked with in the last two years. Both coworkers and the kind, hard working folks in local government, nonprofits, businesses, ect.

My official last day at work is election day. That'll be a hectic day for all of us at the station, but tonight I'll be making the most out of my last time shooting WBL football. Good luck to Wapakoneta and St. Marys tonight, score some big last touchdowns for me!
