The Family Foundation

As colonies formed, faith, family, and freedom remained essential. All of the colonies were populated by families and recognized the importance of religion, particularly the Christian religion. All 13 colonies had religious tests for office and blasphemy laws. 11 of the 13 required officer holders to be Christians. And during this time, colonies were left alone by England to govern themselves. They were a free people rooted in faith, populated by families.
