📢 UPDATE: Phase 3 activation of the Extreme Heat Plan has been extended to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 3rd.

The Lexington Division of Emergency Management has activated Phase 3 of its Extreme Heat Plan. The activation is effectively immediately, running today (Monday, June 29th) through 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd.

At this stage of activation:
❄️ Partner organizations of the Office of Homelessness Prevention and Intervention will operate as cooling stations

🚍 Lextran will offer free, fixed route rides to identified cooling stations for individuals experiencing homelessness

📢 Outreach teams will be in the community distributing supplies and assisting persons in accessing cooling stations and shaded spaces.
