Fluid Boards

These boards were built in the summer of 2013. I was in sort of a transisionary phase. I was living with my parents for the first time since high school. I was gathering up as many funds as I could for my next adventure. So I decided to make a big batch of boards to raise some doe. I had made promised to build boards for some friends and family throughout the years. But due to various living arangements and spacial restrictions I wasn't able to fullfill the promises in as timely a matter as I would have liked. I set up a mobile workshop in my dad's driveway with just an ez-up, a few tools and a boom box and banged out these bad boys.

These boards were created while I was living in a small shed of a house with 3 of my closest friends. When we moved in we discovered a few birds that had set up shop during the vacant months. The Birdhouse was born. Located at milepost 15.5 on the beautiful sandy beaches of Nags Head, North Carolina.

The OBX has rich history of skating culture. Though most of old parks are now shut down or destroyed, the scene lives on. And trust me there are still plenty of spots to be enjoyed. You just have to know the right people, of course.

My buddy Dave and I wanted some decks derived from the old school pool decks of the past. The decks that the OBX skate culture was built on. Out came these bad boys.
