Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence

This morning, Dr. Neaves and district leaders met with Travis Marcum from the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, a Kentucky nonprofit dedicated to strengthening public education and improving opportunities for students across the Commonwealth.

They discussed partnering with BCS to strengthen family engagement, support students and teachers, and grow our relationships with community partners. Through conversations like these, Berea continues to seek meaningful partnerships and identify resources that support student success and continued improvement.

We appreciate the Prichard Committee's commitment to Kentucky schools and look forward to exploring how this partnership can benefit our district moving forward.

Our annual gathering brings together members, partners, and supporters from across Kentucky to reflect on our shared work, celebrate progress, and engage in meaningful conversations about the opportunities and challenges ahead.

The conversations at this year’s member meeting will center around Measures of Upward Mobility in service to ensuring improvement in education results in “a path to a larger life” for all Kentuckians, and how communities - and the state - can create the conditions that break cycles of generational poverty and improve our state’s economic outlook.
